Hi everyone,
Just thought i had better have a little catch up, as most of you know the op i had on my shoulder last september to repair my broken tendons did'nt work so i am rescheduled to go in again this Wednesday for the second attempt on the op this time they are going to release the tendon from the shoulder blade and lower it down and insert 2 pins, going to so beep through customs next time i go on holiday, after having 7 doctors reavaluate everything they are hoping that this next proceedure will solve the problem downside is the recovery period is around 6 months, the good side is work is quiet at the moment so have promised everybody to try and sit still....i can't really see that happening as you all know i have to be active but i will try. Apart from that all is well kids fine, weather has cheered up blue skies and sun but pretty cold. Posting some photos of a day out in the park with the kiddie winkies and my last update on my cross stitch with alass i will have to put on hold for a month...praying to the TV fairy that they put good programmes on in the evening to keep meself occupied.

MY WEEKLY SAL UNDATE

Well i took the kids yesterday into the city of Malaga to see the Christmas lights, we had an absolute fab day first had a walking round the shops then went to see the movie planet 51 kids thought it was great Molly had to keep nudgeing me to wake me up !!! Then we went ice stakeing which is my favorite even Demspey pluck up the courage and by the end of the hour he was going great guns and lots of laughter had by all. The only down side of the day was i went to switch my phone on after the movie all to find that my keypad there was an orange shop round the corner so i went it and she pulled the to pieces only to tell me that it was full of something sticky...upon which my kids piped up and said that that would be the lucozade they had accidently splitted in it a few weeks ago !!!! The buggers had cleaned round the outside of the phone but had negleted to tell me what had happened so hence the liquid inside had started to corrod everything...so new phone required i was very lucky cause i had enough points to get one of them touch nokia phones and changed all my phone contract round to be able to access internet and also lower the cost of my phone bills, so in the end it was great but not telling the kids that they are still in the dog house.

As for my SAL i am going great on it, hopeing i will be able to do a bit of it this week before Christmas but do have a busy week what with work Drs appointment for the shoulder
and collecting school reports end of term Christmas do which is on Tuesday, wrapping presents and finally enjoying Christmas.

Well as most of you know Molly's past her graduation it was a proud day for all and boxes of tissues required.

Here are some photos from the shows my kids done...Dempsey was a penguin out of Mary Poppins and to be honest he is ADHD and so hyperactive i was actually very proud of him cause he remembered all his steps and actually behaved and it also goes to show that kids who have ADHD are a lot cleverer and smarter than we think his actual school grades first year in primary rate between 8 out of 10 and 10 out of 10....giving him a Grade A... so am very happy.

Finshed Stitch along and new project

Finally 6 months later and 43200 stitches i finished my TOY EMPORIUM..which i did enjoy but boy was it hard work but with great friends from the blog http://2009stepbystepstitchalong.blogspot.com/ that i do it on it really makes a difference thanks ladies for all your support.

So umm now what do i do with myself well i have chosen a small project this time it's called "As far as we go " from the AOY collection (All our yesterdays)...Shellie my sweetest friend has got me addicted to this collection...

WHAT MUMS DO..

Still suffering from migrains this week think it's something to do with the wacky weird weather we have been having one day backing hot the next cloudy and freezing.

Anyway have been very productive this week in my spare time...lol...which seems to get sorter each time as the busy tourisum season is starting and my work it getting manic will be like this now till the end of october.
I hadn't posted my SAL update this week as i really wanted to get it finished by this weekend and post my gran finale but don't think i'm not going to make my dead line so going to post where i'm up to now, as i've been doing another project see below for the past two days and tomorrow i'm going out in the evening to take the kids to the spanish feria...we have it once a year and it last's for a week where there is a big fair ground in town and parties, dancing, drinkies and lots of eating goes all day and night, all the little girls and boys dress up in special clothes, the Spanish only work a few hours a day during this week including the banks, which was a pain this morning when i found it already shut by 12 noon !!!! and the kids get 4 days off come this thursday !!!!

This is the little project i was working on two days it took me, a Mr Koala for my boy Demspey, as you all know last week Shellie kindly sent me Mr. Penguin to make for my daughter, theses are ready to sew soft toys' well my little boy went nutty wanting a home made teddy so of course i had to Ebay and get another kit. So here's Dempsey's and his home made Koala, he showed the school security guard when i picked him up and the guard has just called me saying i know that this might be a bit cheeky but i don't suppose you could make me one for a friend of mine....OMG...i now have to go back onto Ebay and order some more kits as my mother also wants one....

Also my kids are prepareing for their end of school shows which takes place on the 19th of this month, Dempsey is playing a penguin out of a scene from Mary Poppins so as i am on the PTA committy i was kindly nominated to make some bit for the stage scenary !!!!! And Molly is doing a part out of the movie Mamma Mia as of yet i have not been asked to make anything lets pray it will stay that way....

Haven't taken update photos of kitties this week who will be 8 weeks this wednesday or off puppy Marley but i'll get some done alone with photos from th fair tomorrow night.

CATCH UP

Wow been trying to find 5 minutes for days to catch up on my blog every time i sit down and do it i get way laid and end up somewhere on cyber space.

Well i finally got two whole days off at the weekend and spent it down the beach it was brilliant, sun, sea and fresh air, the kids had a whale of a time and Molly took her friend and Dempsey actually asked a little boy if he would like to play with him so that took care of him for the day too..hehe...so there i was on the sunbed with a little cross stitch kit (flower blooms) in one hand and a glass of tinto verano (translated as summer red- which is red wine and 7up) in the other hand absolute bliss, but isn't it amazing how doing nothing really tires you out !!!

Ummm well what else has happened this week, i gave the kitties away to their new owners, Malibu (the little white one) went to my friend Emma's who is so proud of him she's been showing him off and taking him around town in a little pouch !! And the other kitty who i did'nt have a home for, the one i had nick named Orphan annie was taken by a friend of my daughters, the Mother was looking to get her daughter a kitten for her birthday and i was ear wigging into her convesation at the school gates so offered her one of my litter and she came round the same night and actually chose Orphan Annie, so a sweet happy ending...so i have now been able to bring Lulu (mummy cat) up stairs where she belongs along with the two kitties i am keeping...Bubbles and Harry or could be a Harrieta still can't tell !!

Anyway they are all doing great and enjoying the space of my whole house instead of being in the spare room downstairs at mums.

They are rather cheeky i must admit and have already worked out how to climb up on the bed they will be 7 weeks old tomorrow.

Puppy marley is also being a good boy as the weather has hit hot tempretures here i have started to leave him at home while i go to work he enjoys playing with my mums dog so we are leaving them together downstairs, my two dogs have just not bonded with him i guess cause they are oldish and set in their ways.

Also won another AOY (All our yesterdays) Cross stitch kits on ebay...POPPY FIELDS it arrived yesterday. Don't forget ladies if any of you would like a copy of any of my charts or all of them please let me know as i have now bought a printer/scanner all in one and can either email them off to you or stick them in the post.

MY SAL UPDATE...

Am really hoping to get this totally finshed within 2 weeks, mind saying that i haven't done any for 3 days, better get my needle moving before i get put under the naughty chair with the naughty hat !!!

Right off to put my P-Jams on and relax in front of the telly and do my stitching,

LOL ok so you are wondering if i've been on the booze but my whole family are making me paranoid, they are saying that puppy Marley's head is deformed we've only just noticed it this weekend so i know that a few of my treasured cyber friends have cocker spaniels so was hoping you could have a little looking and see if he looks normal, i have had lots of dogs in my life but never a cocker and don't want my vet to look at me as if i've lost my marbles, if i ask if her has he got a big head...lol....he'll be 5 months next week. I know not the best of photos but the little bugger has just found he's puppy power...........

Mr Penguin traveled all on his own from UK to Spain, i'm thinking of making him up today, nothing much else to do today i'd palnned a day off to go to the beach...typical we have bad storms and rain so what this space for the finished project.

Ummm well what else this week....my SAL project is coming on a treat i have spent hours and hours on it this week the temtation to get it finished now is driving me up the wall i'm even dreaming of cross stitch i took this photo on top of my pillow so you can see how humongous this project is !!!!!

Ok not posting much this weekend shoulders killing me sure the extra sessions of pyshsiotherapy are making it worse got another 7 sessons left if it does'nt work then i might need surgery. On a better note am so pleased with my crosss stitch progress of my toy store photo below.

And a few photos of kitties that are now one month and 5 days old they will soon be ready to move to their new homes in a few weeks, they are now eating kitty food to, yes i'm still keeping one he's the fattest fluffiest calling him prince Harry he's the two black kitties in the photo the other one is bubbles he's got googlie eyes he's going to be my mums but must admit got a soft spot for him he loves sitting on my lap, i have now had the daddy who caused the problem opperated on don't need anymore suprises like that again.

Right off to enjoy my sunday evening and do some more sewing the quicker i finish that i can start on my AOY kits..

Arrived home to parcels on my door step just love that, two out fits from Kim & Co from QVC sorry haven't taken photos yet...
But also two AOY (all our yesterdays) cross stitch kits am so please with them, they cost me only 1.99 pounds each i got them from ebay the seller has tons of kits and is a power seller and delivery was only a week to Spain so all excellent i can let you know who she is if your interested, as she has so many kits i think it's easier to win the bids plus the prices stay low...Will update kitties progress this week, still under the weather with the flu, plus had to have another jab in the shoulder and been told i need an op...back to Drs next week to discuss it.. Just having such a pooy 6 months what with the cervical cancer and op in January and now this.
And work is still so totally mental...ok i've had my moan now...pmsl...

Slappy slappy on my hand for the delay in placing something on my blog done everyone else's but my own !!! Not posting much but basically to let everyone know i am alive and breathing.

Ok as everyone know my cat Lulu blue Persian decided to spring a bundle of kitties on me on April the 15Th...no i had no idea that she was pregnant and the father who is my cross Persian scraggles was meant to have had his knackers knocked off by the rescue centre when i had him 2 years ago, needless to say they hadn't done the job probably so not only do i have new puppy Marley i now have 4 Persian kitties !!!! I've had to move mother and babies downstairs to my mums house cause puppy Marley thinks I've bought him some new squeaky toys, on a good note i think i have homes for all of them when they are 8 weeks old (OK so I'm cheating i have to keep one !!!) she did have 5 but unfortunately one didn't make it past 24 hours, the remaining 4 are now two weeks old and doing great. I've taken some photos but will get updates this weekend.

One of the 3 black kitties he's the biggest and at the moment has a squashy nose...named him Harry but it's not final as i still can't tell what sex they are or even which one I'm going to have each day they all change and all are so cute..

All the babies together they are a week old here...

This bundle of white fluff is reserved for my friend Emma as she's always wanted a white Persian she's already named it Malibu, apparently once they are about 3 weeks old they should start to get there Persian features..

And as you all know this is Lulu being the proud mum but not to amused that I've had to move her downstairs to my mums spare room..

.And puppy Marley has insisted that he has an up to date photo on the blog this was taken before he nobbled the beautiful pink geranium behind him !!!!

As for my SAL i have been so busy with work but have managed to squeeze some in, still trying to finish the shop window was hoping to do it by this weekend but no chance, think I'll be off to the naughty chair !!! OH yes and before i forget i have managed to win two AOY (All of our yesterday kits) off EBay so when i receive them i will post.

Sunday Update & Garden & Marley the pup

HAPPY EASTER....

Stopped for a break for 10 minutes to update my blog.

What a week i have had, had so much work didn't know whether i was coming or going I've hardly seen the kids over the Easter holidays but they've had a great time as they have spent the whole week with their grandad.

Finally I've had today off and managed to squeeze a fair bit into my day, started off making some homemade granary bread uuummmm house smells delicious.

Done an Easter egg hunt for the terrors, then have spent all day removing weeds from our flower beds in the front garden and placing geraniums in place of the weeds wow...we slowly have a garden, plus all week kids grandfather has been busy doing a few hours a day in the garden too...so it's really coming together having 1000 m2 of land is not amusing. What i will do is take some photos later when the solar lights come on.

So I've taken lots of before and after photos.

Also must share these pot's with you, these are called MOON FLOWER plants a dear friend of mine posted the seeds to me last Autumn and I've finally got round to plant them and hey presto they have started to sprout, these are very unusual plants cause once they flower they will stay closed when the sun's out and then open when the moon comes out so keep posted for an update on these.

Marley the new puppy is still a little treacle LOL I've been taking him to work with me, not so amusing when your trying to get apartments ready for the Easter holiday makers and he just loves brooms, mops and OMG toilet brushes, so one arm, armed with pup and the other with broom.

Also started my physiotherapy for my shoulder done 2 sessions and it is decidedly worse....it's electric shock treatment and then a very painful massage !!! I'm back at physio tomorrow for the next 5 days but will try and speak to my Dr.

My SAL is coming on but not as fast as i would like but hopefully i will try and finish the toyshop window this week.

Right it's bath time for the kids over here in Spain they are back to school tomorrow then I'm going to prepare a well deserved barbecue and i think as an extra treat a bottle of wine.

Here's my SAL update for the week and some more cuties photos of puppy Marley, he is an absolute trickle...lol...been taking him to work with me as it's Easter and the apartment rentals are very busy so don't want to leave him at home, but he has been good. Still another 2 weeks for him to get his last jab and be able to walk him in the street on the road so getting a dead arm from carrying him around.

Hi Everyone,
Here's a few snaps of the new baby that i have rescued........he'll be 3 months next week...his story is very sad.....he was bought on inpulse by someone i know (i would now say that i can't consider this person a friend anymore just someone i will say hello to while gritting my teeth) from a pet shop window a few weeks ago, he has been permanantely lock up in a very small bathroom from 8am til 8pm...with no bed no toys and just a bowl of water !!!!! The owners boyfriend found him to be a great football and has been kicking the little baby because he's a little puppy and he has little puppy accidents !!! yes hello thats what puppy's do...plus he has been crying all night locked in their house well wouldn't you if you were locked in the bathroom all night.
In between all this he has been given away to other homes and then returned back again due to people who think he looks cute but after a few hours of responsability decide it will muck up their lifes !!!! Well this aquantaince person decided that they now can't keep him and asked if i could find him a home of course me with sucker all over my head took him in yesterday afternoon, after buying the little mite a lovely bed (not that he used it the sofa was more comfy along with my bed !!!) lots of toys and some decent puppy food.
Well he did'nt keep me up all night he did cry until i put him on my bed where he curled up and stayed there all night til 7.30 that was from 12 last night this poor little mite just needs lots of TLC this morning when i took him out he has done nothing in the house, what a good boy.
Cats are laughing at him cause he's smaller than them but all getting on very well haven't let him out to play yet with the big dogs but will do that later on today.
Will get some more snaps later for you.
We haven't quiet picked him name yet so far we've been calling him Marley but yesterday when mum and i were playing with him we spotted the size of his ears !!!!! thinking that the name Dumbo might be more appropiate !!!!!!

There should be a law to check peoples back ground before they decide on impulse to buy an animal from a shop they just do not think i am so annoyed personally if i see this persons boyfriend i will kick him to see how he likes it.

Hi everyone,

Let me see excuses for not blogging......Flued and had a house full of kiddie winks all week, still got one here hoping to push out the front door within the next few hours so i can actually have some me time..... and hope that my sanity returns.

Here's the mothers day card i made last week which i forgot to post.

My kids bought me for mothers day a beautiful crab apple bonsai tree it's so pretty it's in bloom at the moment so i will get the camera out later and take some photies for you, it's 7 years old but knowing my green fingers it won't reach 8 !!!!

Garden project is slightly on hold for a week cause of the tendon problem i have in my shoulder but since my last posted photos i have done the lawn and the plants have now filled out and started to blossom and the peach tree is coming on a treat.

Also managed to take a photo of the baby hedgehog who is hiding somewhere in my garden and my dog olive keeps finding and dropping on my door step !!!!!!

And last but not least this weeks update on my SAL having a panic on it as everyone is getting close to finishing theirs !!!!!

Right so it's Sunday morning and I'm off to put my Granary bread in the oven that has been rising for the last 3 hours, i just hate it this time of year when the clocks go forward cause it takes ages to get back into a routine and it takes mt son Dempsey weeks until he gets his normal sleep pattern back, not amusing when we've lost an hours sleep and i do love my bed !!!!

Have a great week everyone, will post Dr's report on shoulder hopefully tomorrow when/if the MRI results are in, if not i have to wait another week to get another appointment.

Finally found 5 minutes to put some photos up of last weeks day out with my Dempsey and his best friend, we had a fab day his little friend stayed over on Friday night bless their first ever sleep over but considering they are only 7 they were as good as gold, took them all day to a big complex in the city where they run round and i was able to shop....my favorite hobby, then took them to watch the movie Beverly hills Chihuahua's it was so funny, all in all a great day. Hi everyone,

Just wanted to catch up with a photo from my SAL as you can see done a fair bit of sewing this week so am pretty proud of progress, i will pop back on either later or tomorrow to fill you in about my son's 7th birthday last weekend with some fab photos and i even managed to take a nice one of myself !!!! Busy trying to denit my son's hair OMG could of died when i checked him and found the beasty buggies there, my daughters at her friends for the day so heaven knows if she's got them to, i do hope not cause her hairs so long and it takes me hours to do.

OMG I FORGOT TO BLOG

Hi everyone...think I'm losing my marbles yes it's Wednesday and i totally forgot to blog at the weekend...lol....remembered everyone elses but mine...Well the gardens been a total wash out this week and the weekend gone due to horrid rains and now we've got high winds so all my good work looks like it's gone to pot literally !!! My kids are driving me insane they were on half term last week now back at school and with the weather unable to burn off their energy in the playground especially my son Dempsey who has ADHD and is so hyperactive it makes you tired just watching him, it's also his 7th birthday this coming Sunday so you can imagine whats he's like. We decided that we aren't having a party for him this year instead we are having his best little buddy Harvey over to stay the night on Friday their first ever sleep over...ahhhhh....sweet.....and we are taking them to the city on Saturday to the big cinema complex hopefully to watch a movie in 3D there's not many kids movies on at the moment but hopefully there will be something, then off for some din dins after his little friend's going back home Saturday night. And Sunday his birthday a nice quiet day at home and he can have his presents which hopefully will keep him quiet all day and give me a chance to recover !!!!

Been rather naughty this week as i confess have not done any of my SAL since Sunday been suffering a bit with migraines must be the weather plus have problems with tentants in my shoulder which hasn't quiet been right since November when i damaged it but what with the cancer scare and everything decided to ignore the issue as you do. But had to go to see my GP today for my usual monthly chat with her and now that the other matter is sorted she's sending me to see a traumatologist to sort my arm and some physio appointment for the 16th of this month.

So here's what i have done of my SAL since my last update and an definately off to sit down and do some now.

Will post update with lots of photos at the weekend including the DR WHO birthday cake that i got the little man.

What a Week this has been

THE MESS WE HAVE TO TACKLE

OK So my week started with a visit to the hospital to finally pick up my test results after the op i had last month to remove cancer cervical cells…the results are……………the lump removed was grade 1 cervical cancer the results after removing the lump are now CANCER FREE, so what a total relief....back to the hospital in 3 months to continue check up and other items that at the moment can't be sorted til the hormones are back to normal. This was Monday.

Tuesday night Olive my dog decided to go searching again for hedgehogs !!! luckily enough we managed to get her back but had to prize the fence up, so we then decided that my garden needs a major make over, and where the fence is all round the back of my garden place flower beds to deter the horrid dog from getting out.

Wednesday i was working and started shopping at the garden centres for suitable plants that will grow into trees and bushes.

THE BACK WHERE THE DOG WAS GETTING OUT, NOW PLANTED WITH LAVANDER AND ROSEMARY AND A LITTLE WOODEN FENCING.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and today Sunday has been spent trying to turn my 1000 m2 garden into something that looks like a garden, starting from 9 am til 4pm everyday with not only me but my mum her man and even neighbours kids helping out. we are no where near finished but it's looking better...upon which i also sacked my gardener realising that the lazy man hasn't done anything on my land but cut the grass ever few months...well with the economy as it is I'm sure i will not have any problem finding a cheap and reliable gardener, once i have finished doing everything that needs doing. I have taken lots of before and as we get on photos for you also done my pots on my terrace. we are having beautiful spring weather which really makes you smile and you do enjoy doing things like this. I also planted a delightful peach tree...and thinking about starting a veggie garden. At this moment in time my body doesn't belong to me....lol...

I will be continuing throughout next week and my friend is coming over to help cut the big tall trees down with a chain saw...also my kids are on half term for a week, so hopefully the weather will stay nice and the fresh air will do them good.

As for my SAL yes after all the above i have managed to keep on top of that too....have a few major issues with it as i had added extra stitches on the door so had a lot of unpicking to do and i also did not like the back stitch colour around the shop door so had to redo all that in a darker colour. but really pleased with what i have achieved.

Well what a fab time was had by all, the little skiing excursion was absolutely fab the kids loved every minute of it, the snow wasn't soft enough to do snow men or snow balls but there was certainly plenty of it,....OK yes i tumbled down the mountain twice thank god no one had a camera, but will definitely go again, maybe without the kids next time there was lots of dishy men up there !!!!!

We had beautiful sunshine and with all the abominable snow clothes didn't really feel the cold.

As for my SAL project manage to finish the bottom wall to the toy shop and now back onto the left hand side pillar as I've decided to do a bit of the easy part for the next week i.e door and i don't quiet fancy the battle with the toy shop window.

My weekly Update

Sorry for the delay but as most of you know my camera decided to die, OK so after a day going round a thousand shops i came away with a very snazzy little camera it's the latest one out by Olympus, and does everything, it was a bit higher price than what i wanted to pay but i am always using my camera, whether it be the kids, the cats, or my blogs so thought in the end it was well worth it. LOL i obviously can't post a photo of it !!!

As most of you noticed my SAL was rather poor last week, will try to play catch up this week.

i now can confirm my little two day ski break to the mountains which is for this Thursday and have finally bought all the bits me and the kids need so we're all ready to go...we are leaving at 5.30am !!!!! should take up 3-4 hours drive to get there booked into a nice little two star hotel which is in the actual snow village so bars, restaurants and pubs on the door step for the evening...sounds good to me.... according to the weather forecast we will have good weather however at the middle of the peek the temperature is -18.

DEMPSEY's MASK

My doings of yesterday was a mask for my son Dempsey school yearly project for carnival week, it had to be off garden, flower, trees theme....(yes i know the boy was meant to make it himself....but you know us craft mums just couldn't resist the urge...) It took me 3 hours. It's a rather big ta do over here in Spain and an excuse to celebrate, the winning masks then get put on display in our local town hall and then 3 winners picked. My daughter Molly won first prize for her fancy dress competition last year a beautiful trophy and first price for her mask she won a lovely book. I was well proud. In fact i have photos.

To all my dearest friends, i would like to let you all know that my dog Olive has been found safe and sound rather stinky and skinny but nothing some TLC wont treat, i got a call an hour ago from the local animal shelter to say she has been bought in (thank god for micro chips) Aparently someone had seen her on a roof not far from where i live they called the police who then called the Enviroment wealfare, who then came and took her to the acutal animal shelter i sponser, so after all out bad weather and storms the poor little girl has been out in it for a week exactly, i've posted a photo of her, one very happy dog...my kids don't know yet my mums just gone to pick them up from school can't wait to see their faces, thank you all for you support and warm wishes, prayers and good lucks...it worked a treat.

My horrid week

Hi everyone,

Sorry for no updates last week it's been a bad one my doggy managed to escape from my house on Tuesday night she seem to have got out under a small gap in the fence in our back garden this gap leads straight onto the main road luckily it was late and hardly any traffic on the roads, but there is no sign of her anywhere, i have gone to every rescue centre, walk, driven, searched, beaches, roads, houses, mountains everywhere but no luck my only hope is that someone finds her and takes her to a vet or a shelter as she is micro chipped and has a collar on and can be traced back to me, but worst of all i don't even have any photos of her as my hard drive on my PC got wiped a few weeks ago and i lost everything and as usual i never done a back up so all my photos are gone......The kids are so upset and my other dog is missing her so much, just heart broken.

On a bit brighter note my mums boyfriend has decided that he's taking me and the kids skiing to the ski slopes about 3 hours drive from the coast where i live in Spain, the kids have never seen snow in the life so you can imagine how excited they are, we're meant to be going around the 12th of this month depending of course on the conditions, if we're lucky and can find a cheap place to stay outside the village then we're be there for 2 days if not it will be just for the whole day, but whatever just to get away will be nice, we've been out and bought all the ski clothes in the sales so it's really cost us hardly anything..i must admit i got a nice out fit for myself, well you never know me being a single mum now after being separated from my abusive husband for 4 years, there might be a dishy single snow instructor someone like George Clooney would be nice..well a girl can only dream !!!!

So this weeks projects have been sewing up my mums boyfriends space suit as i would call it, it must be about 40 years old.....looks like a superman outfit, okay he's on a diet to fit into it !!!!!!oh please i hope he doesn't read my blog...hehe...but bless him he's 72 years old and to be honest is fitter and healthier than i am and I'm only 38...they don't make them like him now a days. Have tried to snap a photo of it for a laugh...

Have been busy on my SAL this week I'm really happy as to how far I've got.

So that's last weeks catch up, fingers crossed this new week and new month will be better than lasts. and please all keep your fingers crossed that my little dog Olive is found and returned.

Update on My SAL

Not been feeling to great to be honest with you all just been feeling so totally washed out, still suffering from cramps after the op. But have been doing lots of my SAL which i have just published on Step by step stitch alone, lol i did have a chuckle to myself as i decided to count how many stitches there was in total...it's OMG can you believe it 42423...and i've only done 3081...and i haven't done any of my other projects at all this week, so working it out roughly i guess it will take me over 13 weeks so i'll give myself a goal and say 4-5 months to complete it...i'll probably be the last to finish mind you saying that i think Gaynor's looks really hard.

Off to finish the few bottom lines of the pathment then i can start on the door.

Evening everyone,

Have been a busy bee with my new project on SAL trying to at least catch up a bit with everyone else's project, Gaynor was very kind to add me to her step by step stitch along, this i must admit has given me a great boost as i'm still feeling horrid after my op, plus i have 3 weeks to wait until i get the results to see if all the cancer cells were removed...this waiting game has been going on since October, test after test, biopsy after biopsy. So doing my SAL is a great road to recovery and a goal for my progress. i'm not posting what i have done since yesterday on my SAL your all have to wait til the weekend when i'll add it to stitch along. But here's the photo of my project...counted cross stitch toy shop...

I thought i might share a few of my past projects with you, my kitchen cross stitch took me forever and i done it over 11 years ago infact whilst i was pregnant with my daughter it holds prime place on my kitchen wall, as it's already framed the photo hasn't come out to good but you can make it out.

Now my bear one is my bathroom one also done a while ago, i do love doing bears, i also have some completed big bear projects down in my mums house so i shall snap them later to post.

As you can all tell i have been keeping to Drs instructions to take things easy and relax after my op, am in a bit of pain but i guess it can only get better, the op went well and after a few hums and hars i was allowed out on the same day, i still will not know if the proceedure to remove all the cancer cells has worked for another month, so again playing the waiting game, but fingers crossed. So here is the finished piece of the adorable kitty cats. So i'm now back on fairy project as my head seems to be more in place...weekend wishes to everyone.

Today i will be starting the lovely cat project that Shellie sent me, it's an easy one so it will take my mind of the op later on today and keep me busy til it's time to leave as i am now nil by mouth, will be taking it with me to the hospital to do aswell they will probably take me to the psych ward instead of the operateing theatre !!So just going to sort my bits ready and quickly dust the house and smoke probably a pack of cigarrettes.

Here's a most beautiful cross stitch it's a collection range from DMC, i started this last week did'nt realice it was such a large project but i love it. A project Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light

This is the start of my cross stitch of a beautiful Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light scene, it's out of the collection from Lamplight Bridge, this sewing project carefully uses light reflecting cottons and threads to give it a real life affect as you can see i have only done the bottom left hand corner. This is not an easy project as it has lots of french knots which i ready hate doing, my friend suggested ages ago to use coloured small beads instead, unfortunately i had already started this project but i will definately use the beads for the another project i am doing with faries.
